A quick tip I’ve noticed for all those trying to Jailbreak their iPad (WiFi or WiFi + 3G) running 3.2.1. If you’re using Jailbreakme.com on your iPad a lot of people are getting the error “file received was invalid”.

There just so happens to be a very quick and easy fix for this. First go to Settings and press “Safari”, swipe down to the bottom and press the “Clear Cache” button.

Now relaunch Safari and try Jailbreakme.com, everything should be working perfectly! This only works on 3.2.1 and not 3.2.2 as of right now, but who knows what the future… read more

As we count down the days until the EVO 4G comes out, we finally have something to help ease the wait. Some images were leaked that finally show which accessories will be available for the EVO 4G and what’s actually included in the box.

So what will be in the box when you buy it? It looks like we’ll get a AC phone charger, USB sync cable, standard lithium ion battery, and a 8GB micro SD card. Like most Android phones, you can go all the way up to a 32GB SD card, if you want to pay that much… read more

I only noticed after the connection on my MiFi device hiccuped and it only loaded some of the page.

Want to impress your friends by whipping out your phone and have a fully working copy of Quake 3 Arena (with real online play)? Well it’s actually not that hard, but it’s only really been tested on Droid / Nexus One. If you’re wanting to test it on your Andoird device, then go for it. Just make sure you post your results in the comments.

How to Install:

Download the kwaak3.apk (link) This requires Android 1.6

Next you’ll need to create two directories. First in the root of your SD card called “quake3″ and then a folder inside

I hope this saves you guys a lot of time and a lot of searching.

Prerequisites

First of all, you’ll need a few things to get started. You’ll need the Android SDK (link), Nexus One USB Drivers (link), and to put your phone in debug mode (Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging).

After your device is in USB debugging… read more

I started looking for results on Google for my problem (removing the question mark inside a black diamond), but no one seemed to have the correct answer.

See, I am working with a large SQL database and simply editing each record to correct this problem wouldn’t work. After looking on Google I found that the problem was with a non-breaking space not displaying properly even though my HTML (and database) character set is UTF-8. I finally found a solution after many hours of searching and I wanted to share it with everyone:

UPDATE table_name SET field = Replace(field, Char(160), ‘… read more

The crown jewel of web development (at least for me) has been Firebug. Unfortunately it’s only for Mozilla Firefox… or so I thought. Seems like the Firebug team has something they called “Firebug Lite”, that allows you to get and use many of the features in Firebug on browsers that don’t really support extensions. Yes, that includes Safari, Opera, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer 6 and above.

Sorry Mosaic users, you’re out of luck on this one ; – )

So how do you get this magical debugging tool for your browser of choice? Simple, all you have to do… read more

After days of delay, Dev Team finally released ultrasn0w, which allowed people with jailbroken iPhones running OS 3.0 to finally unlock their phone. The purpose? So people can use their iPhone on other carriers besides AT&T. In most people’s case inside the US, it’s to use on the T-Mobile carrier.

Once you do get things running, you’ll realize two things; MMS isn’t enabled by default and neither is Internet tethering. This quick tutorial will get your phone up and running so you can send MMS messages and tether your Internet with T-Mobile USA.
