If you don’t know a whole lot about this SEO thing (that’s Search Engine Optimization), but you still want to help your site’s rankings, then you’ve come to the right place.

I’ve developed a bit of a checklist for all you John Does out there that you can go through to make your site more friendly to search engines (Google, we’re looking at you).

Note: When I refer to “keyword” I mean the term that you want people to find you on Google. So if you’re selling “African soap” then that would be a keyword to focus on.

Plusses

We all know the importance of getting .edu backlinks, sometimes that’s easier said than done. Here are two quick ways to get some .edu backlinks completely ethically.

Looking for Link Directories
Some sites allow visitors and students to post links to websites under a variety of topics. They can be educational related or just links that you find interesting. The hard part use to be finding these link directories, but not any more thanks to the power monster Google.com

Try doing a search on Google for: “add link” site:.edu (or click here) and you should be able to… read more

I guess this isn’t really SEO related, however, it could be for all the black hats out there. The website is called CAPTCHA Killer and it does exactly what the title says, it breaks CAPTCHAs.

You have the ability to manually upload a CAPTCHA and let the system break it or you can develop something that’ll take advantage of their API.

This website was created for helping people who are blind and have handicaps that use the web and they do not tolerate using the service for spam. Yeah, and torrent sites don’t tolerate using their sites for… read more
