Play Quake 3 Arena on Android (Droid, Nexus One, maybe more)
Want to impress your friends by whipping out your phone and have a fully working copy of Quake 3 Arena (with real online play)? Well it’s actually not that hard, but it’s only really been tested on Droid / Nexus One. If you’re wanting to test it on your Andoird device, then go for it. Just make sure you post your results in the comments.
How to Install:
- Download the kwaak3.apk (link) This requires Android 1.6
- Next you’ll need to create two directories. First in the root of your SD card called “quake3″ and then a folder inside “quake3″ called “baseq3″ (without the quotes)
- Copy pak0.pk3 of your copy of Quake 3 to the quake3/baseq3 directory
- If you’re looking to buy Quake 3, you can purchase fromĀ Steam (19.99 with Team Arena) and download it instantly.
- Download the Quake3 1.32 update (link) and copy pak1-pak8.pk3 to quake3/baseq3
